- Proper Format for Saying an Order to the Sentry:
Inspecting/Senior Officer: “Cadet [your name here], what is your first order to the sentry?”
Cadet: “Sir, this cadet’s first order to the sentry is: Take charge of this post and all government property in view, sir.” (Be sure to answer in a loud tone and always project your voice.)
